Eric & Jason's Basement Candlepin (1) Greater Lowell, MA From site users Eric & Jason..."I have a new candlepin lane I want to show you guys! It's a new thing my friend Jason & I came up with a few months ago. Basement Bowling! It's located in the Merrimack Valley of Massachusetts in my basement. I have no pics but I do have some YouTube video of this. I'm sure you'd love to see this! I will be putting more up on YouTube soon, but until then, enjoy thisvideo!" "This is in 'Greater Lowell, MA'. Jason's pins are made out of wood. They have that yellowish shade and are extremely old. He's getting his father to make new ones soon. Mine are made of PVC material. Both have the stripes painted (not taped) on. Instead of candlepin balls, we use either baseballs or softballs, depending on which pins we are using. The newer videos have a 3-way guard which is just some pieces of some old wall that we tore out about a year ago. Those were just glued and stapled together with some other boards. Also, it's padded, so the shockwaves don't go so high." |
